Galgenwaard

The story

In Utrecht, there’s a place where tension, ritual, and chaos come together — where thousands of voices turn into one.

Galgenwaard has its own rhythm.

Before kick-off, the streets start filling.
Scarves go up.
Flares burn.
The noise builds.

For ninety minutes, everything outside disappears.
Different people, different lives, different parts of the city — all moving behind the same colours.

It can feel hostile.
A little raw.
A little unpredictable.
But that’s exactly what gives it its power.

There’s structure inside the chaos.
Ritual inside the madness.
A battle fought from the stands as much as on the pitch.

Galgenwaard isn’t just where Utrecht plays football.

It’s where the city gathers, fights, celebrates and believes.

For one night, thousands become one.

Welcome to Utrecht’s Red Dojo.

Bollendak

The story

In Tokyo, there’s a concept that fits the feeling of organized chaos — a place where crowds, movement, and structure all collide, yet somehow stay in sync.
Tokyo Station has that same energy.

It’s a true gateway, where everything converges at once.
People arriving, leaving, meeting, waiting, and cutting through — all moving in different directions, but still part of the same flow.

It can feel hectic at first, but that’s exactly what gives it power.
A little rough.
A little controversial.
Always full of motion.

Bollendak has that same feeling for Utrecht — not because it’s identical, but because it captures that same electric mix of chaos and control.
Right by Utrecht Centraal, the city doesn’t slow down here.

It synchronizes.

Neude

The story

In Japan, there’s a concept called 間(Ma) — the space between. A pause within movement. A place where energy settles before it moves on. The Neude lives in that space.

Right at the center of Utrecht, it pulls everything in — people, stories, motion.
Not to rush, but to stay for a moment.

You meet here. For a cup of matcha, a steaming bowl of ramen, or just a cold beer in the open air.

Days blend into nights, crowds shift, energy resets.
The city moves, but here it breathes.

Surrounded by constant motion, the Neude holds its ground. Open. Raw. Alive.

Nothing forced. Everything flows. A moment of Ma — right in the heart of the street.

Oudegracht

The story

In Japan, there’s a concept called 流れ(Nagare) — flow.
A quiet, continuous movement where everything follows its natural course. The Oudegracht embodies this idea.
For centuries, water has moved through the heart of Utrecht — never forcing, always shaping.
It connects, carries, and defines the rhythm of the city. Along its edges, architecture adapts instead of competing.
Bridges, wharves, and streets align with the canal, creating a balance between structure and movement. Nothing feels imposed. Everything feels inevitable.

A living system shaped by time. A flow that simply is.

Domtower

The story

In Japan, there's a concept called 不動 — Fudō. Immovable. Unshakeable. The idea that true strength isn't loud — it's rooted. A mountain doesn't announce itself. It simply is.

When we looked at the Dom Tower, we saw the same thing. A landmark that doesn't need to explain itself. A silhouette so recognisable that a single line drawing says everything.

So we took that silhouette. We ran it through a Japanese lens. And we built a brand around the intersection of two cultures that share more than you'd think — a deep respect for craft, for restraint, for things that last.
